MELODY CHIKAKANE BROWN has joined the touring company of The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, David Eldridge’s acclaimed stage adaptation of John le Carré’s gripping Cold War thriller, touring the UK from March – August 2026.

Directed by Jeremy Herrin and starring Ralf Little as Alec Leamas and Gráinne Dromgoole as Liz Gold, Melody is thrilled to be joining the company as Miss Crail/President of the Tribunal.

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold follows British intelligence officer Alec Leamas, who is persuaded by George Smiley to take on one final mission in East Berlin. There he encounters Liz Gold, a librarian whose compassion forces him to confront questions of love, betrayal and moral compromise.

The production premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2024 as part of Justin Audibert’s first season as Artistic Director, a season Melody was part of as she appeared there in Redlands. The Spy Who Came In From The Cold is presented by The Ink Factory and Second Half Productions. It premiered to sold out audiences at Chichester before transferring to @sohoplace for a West End run concluding on 21 February 2026.

The production features design by Max Jones, lighting by Azusa Ono, sound by Elizabeth Purnell, composition by Paul Englishby and movement direction by Lucy Cullingford.

Casting by Matilda James.
