Odette O’Beirne as Medusa in Stars are Blind, a short-form comedy playing as part of the 2026 Scene + Heard Festival at Dublin’s historic Smock Alley Theatre.

Stars are Blind reimagines the myth of Medusa through a contemporary, irreverent lens. Looking for love in a world where every glance turns admirers to stone, Medusa teams up with her best friend Eros and heads to Earth in search of a soulmate – with predictably chaotic results.

Written by Nathan Doyle and directed by Ailbhe Casey, Odette performs alongside Nathan Doyle and Vassia Mentekidou in this fast-paced, high-energy work-in-progress, showcasing the bold, experimental spirit that defines the Scene + Heard Festival – one of Ireland’s leading platforms for emerging and independent artists.
