Jack Norris in Gecko’s From Here On

We are delighted for Jack Norris who is returning to work with leading physical theatre company Gecko Theatre in a brief return of their acclaimed production From Here On, which will receive a special one-off performance as part of King Arthur Reimagined: Voicing the Land at Snape Maltings on 8 July.

Originally created in 2024 by Gecko Theatre and Good Chance Theatre in partnership with Safe Passage International, From Here On marked the 85th anniversary of the Kindertransport, when nearly 10,000 Jewish children found refuge in the UK after fleeing Nazi-occupied Europe. Blending Gecko’s distinctive physical theatre with powerful storytelling, the production honours this history while drawing urgent parallels with the experiences of displaced young people today.

Described by The Stage as “a pulsing, heart-wrenching, ultimately hopeful piece of physical theatre”, the production returns for two performances on the Hepworth Lawn before audiences head into the concert hall for King Arthur Reimagined.

Produced by Gecko as part of the company’s Creative Engagement programme in Suffolk, this special event forms part of a wider celebration that brings together music, theatre and community, with Purcell’s King Arthur at its heart.

Jack’s physical theatre background and skillset is well suited to Gecko’s work, and he is delighted to be working with them once again.
