JILLY BOND stars as Ruth in the world premiere of The Dawn of Reckoning, a powerful new two-hander about friendship, loss, guilt, and the possibility of second chances.

Set in the early hours of a cold January morning, the play reunites Ruth and Helena – once inseparable friends, now estranged for over 25 years – in the deserted lounge of a Bayswater hotel. What begins as a seemingly chance encounter slowly reveals deeper truths about love, betrayal, and the choices that shaped their lives. By turns moving, funny, and surprising, the play places two women in their 60s firmly centre stage, exploring how we move forward when the hardest person to forgive is ourselves.

Written by Mark Bastin and directed by Matthew Parker, the production is presented by MBA Productions. It stars Jilly Bond as Ruth, alongside Bryonie Pritchard as Helena.

Jilly’s previous work with director Matthew Parker includes the Offie nominated Trestle in 2021 which was revived in 2025 at the Jack Studio.
