Tara Fatehi – From The Lips to the Moon

As Self

Since 2022, Tara Fatehi has been co-creating and curating From the Lips to the Moon with electronic music composer Pouya Ehsaei – a surreal, improvisational night of sound, poetry, and performance that has become a fixture in London’s experimental scene.

On Friday September 18th From Lips To The Moon return to Cafe OTO in Dalston. Pouya and Tara will be joined by Gaika, Robert Stillman, Karenjit and Abi Asisa. More details on the line up and to book tickets visit: Cafe OTO – Events

Part ritual, part rave, part poetic séance, From the Lips to the Moon brings together live electronics, unearthly melodies, twisted beats, fierce poetry, and half-familiar languages to create something thrillingly unique and entirely in the moment. Tara’s voice – playful, political, and unpredictable – intertwines with Pouya’s genre-blurring sonic landscapes, as they invite guest musicians and poets on stage to perform improvised sets that defy categorisation.

The show has appeared at major cultural venues including the Southbank Centre, V&A Museum, Cafe OTO, The Vinyl Factory, NTS, Soho Radio, and Radio al-Hara, and has featured over 95 guest artists to date. Their first book, In times of darkness is out now and their first album is available now.
