Michael Conley writes Book & Lyrics for Anne of Green Gables

While urrently appearing in MJ The Musical, Michael Conley is filling what free time he has by working with his long-term collaborator, Luke Bateman, to write the book and lyrics for the world premier of new musical, Anne of Green Gables, based on the classic children’s novel.

For over a hundred years the story of Anne Shirley, the feisty, imaginative red-headed orphan and her adventures in Avonlea has delighted readers all over the world. Anne of Green Gables is one of the best-selling books, in any language, worldwide and now her exploits will reach a new audience.

YaYa Theatre Company and Emma Wang Productions will present this new musical in a workshop performance at Sadlers Wells in 2026.
