Sting’s musical sails into the West End’s Drury Lane Theatre for a limited run from the 22nd September – 3rd October 2026 and Matthew Gent will return to the company as Ensemble/ Cover Billy.

The Last Ship has enjoyed sell-out audiences across its recent international tour, visiting France, the Netherlands, Australia and New York. Matthew has been with the show since the beginning of its voyage and is looking forward to dropping anchor back home in the UK.

Before The Last Ship docks in London though, the crew are returning to the Koninklijk Theater Carré in Amsterdam.

The Last Ship features music and lyrics by Sting, who also stars.
The new book is by Barney Norris. It is directed by Leo Warner with musical direction from Richard John, while musical supervision is by Rob Mathes and Richard John.
Casting was by Jill Green and her team.
