Luca Saraceni-Gunner as Honorius in BBC’s Civilisations Rise and Fall

We’re pleased to share that Luca Saraceni-Gunner portrays the Roman emperor Honorius in BBC’s upcoming documentary series Civilisations: Rise and Fall.

Spanning four episodes, the series blends dynamic drama reconstructions with insights from experts, key academics, and curators to explore how and why the world’s greatest civilisations collapsed.

Luca will feature in the first episode of the series, which explores the fall of the Roman Empire and is directed by David Lee and narrated by Sophie Okonedo. Luca stars alongside Roberto Davide as Stilicho and Leander Vyvey as Alaric. The episode airs on BBC Two at 9pm on Monday 24th November and will be available on BBC iPlayer thereafter.
