Being part of a new musical is a bucket list achievement for lots of musical theatre performers. Being there right at the start of the process is a real dream come true.

We are really thrilled for Dyd Wynford who was in the original cast of Just For One Day and is now part of the Work-In-Progress development on The Gap, a new musical by Victoria Gimby & Stuart Matthew Price.

In 2023 the famous Sycamore Gap Tree was illegally felled. The tree had stood for over a hundred years in a natural dip in the landscape created by glacial meltwater. It was one of the most photographed trees in the country and a emblem of the North East of England.

The Gap weaves together original stories, folklore, history, and imagined futures into a time-travelling tapestry about our connection to the past, the future and to each other.

The Gap will play one performance at Shedinburgh as part of the Edinburgh Fringe and one performance at the Young Vic as part of the Shedinburgh takeover.

This is a chance to see The Gap take root.
