Reviews (2025 Production)

“There’s gangsta rap and Eastern European folk paired with some seriously impressive Cossack breakdance moves from bolshy Ukrainian adoptee Mischa (Bartek Kraszewski).”
★★★★ EVENING STANDARD

“A standout of this production is Bartek Kraszewski, who makes an impressive professional debut as charismatic Ukrainian SoundCloud rapper Mischa Bachinski. His performance is electric and demonstrates why he is one to watch.”
★★★★ WEST END BEST FRIEND

Bartek Kraszewski is hilarious (and jaw-droppingly athletic) as the Ukrainian bad boy with a penchant for auto-tuned gangsta rap and alcohol.”
★★★★★  WHATSONSTAGE

“The Ukrainian bad boy Mischa (Bartek Kraszewski, one of several young performers making an arresting debut) sings an AutoTuned anthem to “self-aggrandising commercialised hip-hop” before somehow segueing into a romantic folk song.”
★★★★ THE TIMES

Bartek Kraszewski brings swagger and surprising tenderness to Mischa, whose rap-infused number is both ridiculous and oddly moving. But it’s the character’s second number, where Mischa softens while singing about his ‘internet fiance’, Talia which is surprisingly tender; and Kraszewski finds vulnerability without losing any of the hard won stereotype swagger.”
★★★★ THEATREWEEKLY

Bartek Kraszewski shows real range as Mischa Bachinski, with a stunning ‘Talia’.”
★★★★ ALL THAT DAZZLES

“Mischa (Bartek Kraszewski), the rage-filled rapper with a surprisingly tender underbelly.”
★★★★ TIME OUT

After his professional debut in the sell-out run of Ride the Cyclone at Southwark Playhouse in 2025, Bartek Kraszewski returns to the role of Mischa Bachinski this summer.

Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell’s musical follows six teenagers killed in a rollercoaster accident. Trapped in limbo, one of them is offered a chance to return to life – but which one? Each of them must try to convince an enigmatic figure that they are the one most deserving of a second chance.

Reviews highlighted Bartek as “making an arresting debut” (The Times), “surprisingly tender” (Time Out), “seriously impressive” (Evening Standard) and we cannot wait to see him take the stage once again in the show that Whatsonstage called “utterly exhilarating”.
