Jack Norris is a physical theatre performer, actor and multidisciplinary artist working across devised theatre, movement-led performance, and new writing.

Since graduating from Drama St Mary’s in 2019, Jack has built a strong reputation within the UK’s physical theatre sector. He is a core performer with Gecko Theatre, having appeared in the critically acclaimed From Here On, and is working on the remount of The Wedding at Sadler’s Wells East.

Alongside his work with Gecko, Jack has collaborated with companies including Told by an Idiot, David Glass Ensemble, and RABBLE Theatre, and recently completed a film project with Told by an Idiot (due for release in 2026). He also plays the lead in Finches, a short film directed by Marco Chan.

Jack is also an emerging writer and producer. His new play To Those Islanders explores the relationship between physical theatre and visual impairment, developed with professional blind performers and supported by Arts Council England. The project has raised £80,000 to date, with touring plans for 2027 and a major funding application in progress. A companion documentary, The Lantern Room, co-created with Noah Cox, will be released as a free educational resource for schools and arts organisations.

A working-class performer and artist living with Cystic Fibrosis, Jack brings a distinctive physicality, intelligence and emotional depth to his work. He is seeking to expand into larger-scale mainstream theatre, alongside film and television, while continuing to develop bold, socially engaged new work.
