Eleanor (El) Cobb is a Director and Actor who trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She has worked and trained internationally—directing and performing in Chile and facilitating and directing in Barcelona. El creates work that weaves language and music into vivid, imaginative worlds, inviting audiences into experiences that feel both unique and universal.

She is co-founder and Artistic Director of Rat Hands Theatre and director and co-writer of Blocks Falling: The Tetris Musical. Blocks Falling was chosen for Beam 2025 and highlighted as one of The Stage’s top 10 picks for the Festival. El also directed and performed in Rat Hands’ Conjured! A Conjuring Parody Musical which had a sold-out run at The Golden Goose Theatre and has since gained a substantial online following. 

Eleanor directed Do Birds Hide to Die? an experimental, physical theatre piece about intergenerational trauma and mother-daughter relationships which has been performed at The Coronet Theatre, The Golden Goose Theatre and the Prague Fringe Festival to rave reviews. 

As an assistant director she has collaborated with prolific director Paul Hunter (Told by an Idiot) and has worked extensively as a devisor and assistant director with Théâtre Sans Frontières.
