Rebecca Crankshaw, or Cranks, as she likes to be known, is an actor based in London.

As a long-time fan of radio drama, she was thrilled to win a Norman Beaton Fellowship in 2021 and join the BBC Radio Drama Company for five months. Her recent work in BBC audio drama includes Life Lines, Faith Hope and Glory and Don’t Look Now. Cranks is also represented for voice by Jabbervoices (explore her full voice profile here).

On stage, Cranks has appeared at various London venues, including Soho Theatre and Jermyn Street, and is twice Offie nominated – for Best Solo Performance (2022) and Best Lead Performance in a Play (2023). She was recently awarded a DYCP and wrote and performed her first solo show, Happiness is a Radical Act to a sell-out crowd at the iconic queer venue The Divine.
