Sam DeFeo makes professional debut in Maiden Voyage

We are delighted for 2024 Mountview graduate Sam DeFeo who will be making her professional debut in the world premier of new musical Maiden Voyage at the Southwark Playhouse, Elephant this summer.

In 1990 Tracy Edwards made history by leading the first all-female sailing crew around the globe in the Whitbread Round the World Race. Maiden Voyage tells the tale of that incredible journey. With book and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein (Little Women, Benny & Joon) and music by Carmel Dean (Renascence, Well-Behaved Women), Maiden Voyage is produced by Mark Cortale, Dale Franzen and Jonathan Murray, and Harvey Reese in association with Shared Experience.

Casting for Maiden Voyage was by the terrific team at Harry Blumeneau casting.

Having been part of the workshop earlier this year, Sam is overjoyed to be returning to this epic, sweeping musical.
