Mark Milligan as Dromio of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors and A Company of Rascals

Actor

We’re delighted to announce that Mark Milligan will be donning the doublet and diving into chaos this summer as Dromio of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors and its brand-new companion play A Company of Rascals.

This ambitious double bill—two full-length plays performed simultaneously by one cast across five locations—is a co-production between Guildford Shakespeare Company and the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, running from 10–26 July 2025.

No stranger to Shakespeare, Mark toured for 22 weeks last year as Ophelia and Others in the all-male Hamlet with The Lord Chamberlain’s Men last year, and brought knockout physical comedy to young audiences as the title character in My Pet Star at Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre – making him the perfect fit for Dromio’s quick-witted, quick-footed mayhem!

Written by award-winning playwright Phil Porter (The Boy with Two Hearts, Vice Versa, The Lavender Hill Mob), A Company of Rascals is a bawdy backstage comedy unfolding in promenade throughout the theatre, while The Comedy of Errors plays out on the main stage. Together, they offer a riotous night of theatrical invention.
